Fast Scan is designed to work without an account. Scanning happens on your device. Your scan history stays on this device unless you choose to export or share it.
Data we do not collect
- Names, emails, or phone numbers for an account
- Scan contents uploaded to our servers — we do not operate a scan cloud
What stays on your phone
Scan history, favorites, created QR codes, and My QR cards are stored locally. Camera and gallery access are used only to detect codes on the device.
Internet
Scanning does not require the internet. The app may use a connection for ads (AdMob, including an advertising ID on the free tier), Google Play Billing if you remove ads, an optional Safe Browsing check when you open a link, and a version check so we can ask you to update. Scanning still works if those requests fail.
In-app analytics events are logged on the device only. They are not sent to our servers.
